Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

We have Several Immediate Full-time positions available for Experienced Diesel Mechanics in Long Island City, NY. Technicians will maintain and repair various fleet and customer vehicles, including semis, dump trucks, box trucks, flatbeds, trailers, and Reefer trucks. What's In It for You? Competitive wages: $32 - $40/hr + bonus Supportive management team Comprehensive benefits plan that includes: 401(k) with match Tuition Reimbursement Program Health, Dental, and Vision insurance Employee assistance program Health savings account Paid time off Tool and boot allowance Paid Sick Days Shift: Day & Afternoon shifts available: Days: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday) Afternoons: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Monday - Friday) Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance services Maintain work area safety Conduct diesel repairs, service, and diagnostics Service customers and handle road calls Diagnose and repair malfunctions Work with minimal supervision Inspect trucks for proper working condition Perform routine maintenance Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment Repair major components (engine, transmission, differentials) Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements Requirements: 3+ years of diesel/automotive mechanic experience Basic computer skills ASE certification is a plus Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required High school diploma or equivalent Must have your own set of tools Must pass pre-employment checks (Criminal Record, Drug Screening, MVR) #J-18808-Ljbffr
