Wire Harness Assembler

The Wire Harness Assembler will support electrical and electronic assembly operations, focusing on wire harness fabrication, assembly, and light soldering. This is a temporary position expected to last approximately six to nine months based on project demand, with the potential for extension or conversion depending on business needs. This assignment does not guarantee continued employment beyond the stated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate wire harnesses according to specifications.
• Assemble electrical and electronic components.
• Perform light soldering tasks as required.
• Ensure compliance with J Standard and IPC 610 guidelines.
• Utilize hand tools and microscopes for precision work.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in soldering and soldering assembly.
• Experience with crimping and cable assembly.
• Ability to read blueprints and electronic schematics.
• Knowledge of J Standard and IPC 610 guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with using hand tools and microscopes.
• Familiarity with wire harness and cable assembly processes.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of 80% sitting and 20% standing or walking. The role requires precision work using microscopes and hand tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
