Job Title: Machine OperatorOverview summarySummit Staffing is seeking reliable and detail-oriented F&A Machine Operators to support filling and assembly line operations. This role is responsible for monitoring filling machines, ensuring proper fill weights, reporting equipment issues, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate is attentive to detail, able to work in a fast-paced production environment, and communicates effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth line operations.Job Details

• Location: Bolingbrook Area
• Type: Contract-to-hire
• Pay Range: $17.50 - $22.50/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the operation of filling machines to ensure units do not leak and fill weights remain within specifications.
• Report machine breakdowns or malfunctions to the maintenance team and accurately record downtime.
• Monitor components and materials to ensure the production line continues running efficiently.
• Track hopper levels and notify line leads if additional materials are needed.
• Communicate machine operation status to line leads and supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift and at the end of production.
• Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Support other production or assembly tasks as needed to meet operational goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership to maintain efficiency and quality.

Skills & Experience

• Ability to monitor and operate production machinery effectively.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate fill weights and quality standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production or assembly line environment.
• Basic English language proficiency preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with filling or assembly lines preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; heavier items with team assist or equipment.
• Work may be performed in a non-climate-controlled production environment.
