Galpin Motors is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our restaurant team at the Horseless Carriage Restaurant.This is a great opportunity to work at the famous Horseless Carriage Restaurant Located within the Galpin Ford Dealership. Galpin Motors was the home of the first in-dealer restaurant and we have continued to grow our restaurant services by adding a full service Starbucks and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Cafe. Galpin’s Core Values include Integrity, A servants’ Attitude, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork and Fun!Some of What You'll do:Prepare food for service including, chopping ingredients, butchering meat, and preparing saucesSet up and stock workstations with necessary supplies; stock inventory appropriatelyLeverage your time management skills to ensure food comes out simultaneously and in a timely mannerContribute to producing a high quality product by working effectively with team members and preparing menu items according to the Chefs instructionsMaintain professional communication with team members and guestsDevelop your culinary skills and take your career to new heights!Minimum Qualifications:2+ years experience in a restaurant environment working as a line or prep cookUnderstanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, restaurant equipment and procedures.Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.Professional work ethic and high integrityAbility to work as a team and/or independentlyAbility to pass preliminary background check and drug screenAuthorization to work in the USPhysical Requirements:Line cooks often work long hours on their feet in a fast-paced environment, requiring physical stamina to stay productive throughout shifts that can extend beyond 8 hours.Lift heavy pots, pans, and containers filled with food or liquids, as well as moving kitchen equipment and supplies.Precise and quick movements are necessary for tasks such as chopping, slicing, and plating food.
