This role involves providing critical care to a diverse patient population, including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgery patients, as well as post-operative open-heart patients on advanced life support therapies.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Location: Aurora, Colorado
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, minimum 1-year recent ICU hospital experience, BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior Meditech experience, CVICU/CTICU experience, post-operative open-heart patient care experience
• Responsibilities: Managing a mixed ICU with patients requiring advanced respiratory and cardiovascular procedures, including ventilator management, IV drips, arterial and central line insertions, and bedside procedures such as bronchoscopies, GI scopes, and chest tube insertions
• Additional Information: The unit features a 38-bed ICU with a level II trauma designation, equipped with advanced monitoring and life support equipment. The team values attention to detail and a collaborative approach, situated in a scenic location near the mountains with a friendly nursing staff.
