Overview
Looking for dependable, upbeat, people person who loves to put a smile on someone's face. Must have ability and willingness to learn and be able to perform duties with a high level of professionalism and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently.
- Perform pretesting procedures, glaucoma workup, wide field imaging photos, and other screening and diagnostic testing. Training provided.
- Assist the optometrists during examinations by preparing necessary equipment, handling patient positioning, and documenting findings precisely.
- Support clinical workflows by administering medications or eye drops as prescribed, following proper safety protocols.
- Document detailed clinical notes and scribe real-time observations during patient visits to ensure comprehensive records for future reference.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment while adhering to infection control standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to study outside of working hours to learn medical terminology and instrumentation.
- Desire to learn and grow into a career. This is not a stepping stone position.
- Skills/Cognitive Test Required as Part of Application Process
