Quality Engineer (Zing) Zing Recruiting , in partnership with a leading automotive manufacturing company in the Elberton, GA area, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their growing team. - Support production quality activities within an automotive plastic injection molding environment.
- Lead and participate in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and 8D corrective action activities.
- Investigate quality concerns and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Support launch readiness and new product introductions.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and customers to resolve quality issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 quality standards.
- Assist with internal audits and quality system improvements.
- Develop quality alerts and maintain quality limit samples.
- Train production personnel on quality standards and best practices.
- Support customer complaint resolution and warranty investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Experience within a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong knowledge of:
- APQP
- PPAP
- PFMEA
- Control Plans
- SPC
- 8D Problem Solving
- Experience supporting production quality and corrective action activities.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to commute to Elberton, GA .
- BMW customer experience.
- IATF 16949 experience.
- Internal auditing experience.
- Launch readiness experience.
- Quality training and coaching experience.
- Tier 1 automotive supplier experience.
- Continuous Improvement / Kaizen experience.
- Experience handling customer complaints and warranty claims.
