Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Rightsourcing Program - IHC Health Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Rightsourcing Program - IHC Health Services.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program. - OR Graduated from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past Six (6) months (not eligible for Tech in Surgery exam). - OR Two (2) years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last Three (3) years.

Unit Details: - Performs various duties as a member of the surgical team to ensure a safe and successful operative procedure. - Functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and directly reports to Surgical Services management. - Maintains accountability for ensuring the operating room and all surgical items meet sterilization criteria. - Maintains the sterile field and ensures a safe environment. - Recognizes and addresses sharps and fire safety processes. - Prepares the operating room and instruments for the surgical procedure. - May assist with sterile processing. - Assists the surgeon(s) during the procedure while staying within the ORT scope of practice. - Can identify emergency situations and exercises judgment when implementing procedures to respond to emergencies. - Assists with room turnover, cleaning, and preparation for the next procedure upon completion of the procedure.

Shift & Scheduling: - On-call and weekends required.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
