Aircraft Ordnance Systems Mechanic (t32)

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC (T32), Position Description Number D0115000 and is part of the AL 187TH Fighter Wing, National Guard. ORGANIZATION: AL 187TH FIGHTER WING, MONTGOMERY, AL SELECTING OFFICIAL: MSGT S. LONG MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military grade in the Alabama Air National Guard. MINIMUM MILITARY RANK: A1C MAXIMUM MILITARY RANK: TSGT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Each applicant must fully substantiate (in his/her own words) that he/she meets the requirements of the Specialized Experience listed below: Otherwise, the applicant will be considered unqualified for this position. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Must have a minimum of two years of experience in a position engaged in functions such as installation, maintenance, or repair of aircrew egress systems. 2. Must demonstrate through experience and/or appropriate training, a thorough knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical principles as applied to aircrew egress systems: of the concepts embodied in AFM 66-1. Vol XII; and of the use and interpretation of blueprints, wiring diagrams. and technical publications. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the applicant's ability to repair malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components. Ability to use sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications, and engineering drawings. Experience which demonstrates skill in the use of test equipment to make electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic checks. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience or training in planning and layout of repair sequence and ability to complete modification, repair, and installation of ordnance systems. Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and determining remedies where complex relationships exist. Experience in hand tools and the use of a variety of measuring and test equipment.
