Banking Associate (US) - Brunswick, NJ

Location: East Brunswick, New Jersey, United States of America Hours: 40 hours per week Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.75 USD per hour Job Summary The Banking Associate serves as a front‑line professional in a TD store location, responsible for accurately completing daily banking transactions and delivering educational support on products, services, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. Responsibilities Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and debit/credit card issues. Open new personal deposit accounts and execute account closures or modifications. Educate customers on a broad range of banking products and services, providing consultative support and proactive recommendations. Use TD’s teller and platform systems to manage customer interactions, ensuring adherence to compliance, risk, and control policies. Generate, manage, and prioritize self‑generated leads and referral leads, including outbound calls, SMS outreach, and appointment setting. Maintain accurate record keeping for all transactions and audit requirements. Represent TD’s brand consistency, customer service strategy, and compliance standards in all customer interactions. Collaborate with other team members to meet store goals and support more complex financial needs of customers. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 year of customer‑facing experience (volunteer, education, or military acceptable). Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Experience working a teller line or platform preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and technology use. Strong organization and problem‑solving abilities, with a sense of judgment and decision‑making. Ability to schedule, prioritize, and work independently within deadlines. Notary License preferred. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Physical Requirements Performing multiple tasks continuously; operating standard office equipment daily. Occasional lifting/carrying of items under 25 lbs. Regular standing, walking, and moving within a confined space. Continuous reading, writing, and comprehension of instructions.
