Mechanical Assembler This temporary assignment focuses on assembly, The role involves building a substantial mechanical frame, approximately six feet tall, using 80/20 components and a variety of hand and power tools in a manufacturing warehouse environment. Responsibilities Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical assembly tasks. Perform general labor tasks associated with mechanical assembly, including positioning, fastening, and securing components. Read and interpret blueprints or mechanical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and alignment. Inspect assembled structures for proper fit, alignment, and mechanical integrity, making adjustments as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures in a manufacturing warehouse setting. Handle and move parts and materials, including lifting items up to 50 pounds as required by the project. Essential Skills Proven aptitude for hands-on mechanical work and mechanical assembly. Experience assembling large mechanical structures or frames. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Capability to read and follow blueprints or assembly drawings. Ability to perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing environment. Physically able to stand on feet for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with 80/20 or similar modular framing systems. Mechanical assembly within a warehouse or manufacturing setting. Comfort working on temporary, project-based assignments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to assembling components accurately. This is a Contract position based out of Emeryville, CA. The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
