Client in Porterville, CA is seeking to find a CNC Machinist! Full time, 2nd shift (1:45pm-10:45pm), salary range between $32-$35/hour, temporary work for 3-5 months. If interested please call Pridestaff Visalia!

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Prepare and operate Mazak Quick Turn 350M CNC lathe to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and turning.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications to determine the correct machining processes and dimensional requirements.
• Tooling & Programming: Load and adjust G-code or M-code programs, select appropriate cutting tools, and configure machine settings (feeds, speeds, and tool paths) for optimal production.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges) to ensure they meet strict tolerance requirements.
• Troubleshooting: Monitor machine performance during operations, troubleshoot mechanical or programming issues, and make necessary adjustments to prevent defects or material waste.
• Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all company safety guidelines, protocols, and OSHA regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of production output, machine maintenance, and quality inspection results.

Preferred Skills 

• Experience with CAD/CAM SolidWorks software.
• Familiarity with Mazak CNC controllers.
• Forklift certification or experience operating overhead cranes.
