Cabinet Painter / Finisher

Location: Alpharetta, GA
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time

Overview

We are hiring an experienced Painter/Finisher for our manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX. This position is responsible for preparing, finishing, and applying high-quality coatings to wood products while meeting production schedules and maintaining exceptional quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience with wood finishing, industrial painting, or millwork and takes pride in producing quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare wood surfaces by sanding, smoothing, filling, masking, and repairing imperfections.
• Apply primers, stains, paints, sealers, lacquers, and other commercial wood finishes using spray equipment, brushes, or hand application.
• Set up, operate, and maintain finishing equipment, including spray guns, sanders, and finishing booths.
• Read and interpret shop drawings and production work orders.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications.
• Maintain finishing equipment and ensure proper care of tools and materials.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work independently while collaborating with production supervisors and team members.
• Assist other departments as needed and perform additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in wood finishing, cabinet finishing, millwork, industrial painting, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of wood finishing products, spray equipment, and finishing techniques.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read shop drawings and follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Good communication, organizational, and basic math skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and lift materials.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, wood particles, and finishing materials.
