The Restaurant Supervisor (age 18+) will direct the day-to-day operations and activities in the restaurant. Duties include managing personnel, collecting payments, monitoring budgets, and evaluating restaurant, bar, and banquet room performance. This is a SEASONAL , full-time or part-time position and reports to the Food and Beverage Manager. Duties & Responsibilities General Duties Manage all restaurant team members Optimize profits by controlling costs Ensure product quality and outstanding customer service Maintain inventory of food and supplies Monitor and maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Monitor cash drawers and ensure cash handling procedures are followed Administrative Duties Collect payments and maintain records of budgets, funds, and expenses Assist with project management on any remodeling or construction efforts at the restaurant Complete required reports on a timely basis Schedule staff, monitor payroll, and maintain compliance with labor budget Participates in the recruitment process and selection of talent for the department Other Essential Duties Collaborate with park and home office departments Coordinate and oversee various projects from start to finish Respond to guest inquiries using the company’s service recovery guidelines Utilize and learn reservation system for daily planning Participate in other projects and activities as assigned Education/Training/Experience Minimum of 5 years experience in food service management or equivalent Proper State’s Food Manager Certification required Responsible Management of Alcohol Certification required Qualifications/Requirements Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment A strong work ethic and a positive attitude Required to work nights, mornings, weekends, and holidays Work with minimal supervision Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management Essential Physical Demands Able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to remain in a stationary position, occasionally in warm temperatures Occasional exposure to hot equipment and oil throughout the workday Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, serve, etc. Northgate provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
