Lead Host

Ballyhoo Hospitality Group i s seeking an energetic, hospitality focused Lead Host to join DeNucci’s in Lincoln Park.

Concept Overview: DeNucci’s is a Ballyhoo Hospitality concept that celebrates the tradition of Italian American dining through handmade pastas, classic dishes, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere, with locations in Lincoln Park, Highland Park, and Hinsdale. The menu reflects the comfort and generosity of Italian cooking with familiar favorites and house made specialties designed for sharing around the table.

Each restaurant is designed to feel vibrant and welcoming, creating a space where guests gather for celebratory dinners, casual meals with friends, or a glass of wine at the bar. With its warm hospitality, classic Italian flavors, and energetic dining rooms, DeNucci’s brings the spirit of a neighborhood Italian restaurant to communities across Chicago and the North Shore.

Job Summary:

The Lead Host role is pivotal in creating a positive first impression for our guests. The ideal candidate will be pleasant, detail-oriented, and consistently professional, possessing strong hospitality instincts and a genuine drive to exceed guest expectations. Success in this role requires the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, communicate effectively, and contribute to smooth service operations and the delivery of high-quality service. As the Lead Host, you'll oversee the host stand, coordinate guest flow, support the front-of-house team, and ensure every guest receives a warm, welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Foster and maintain strong relationships with guests and the community.
• Exhibit warmth and hospitality in all interactions.
• Drive sales and covers through precise management of reservation software.
• Experience in Resy is preferred.
• Lead and develop the host team.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both with guests and team members.
• Demonstrate the ability to work cohesively with both front-of-house and back-of-house colleagues.
• Exhibit a passion for learning and active participation in daily food and beverage training.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including the Toast POS system, and Resy.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Must successfully pass general information and food and beverage quizzes.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
• Possess ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Night and weekend availability is required.
