Einstein Bros. Bagels has been baking fresh bagels daily since 1995. We believe in spreading joy and happiness through great food and prioritize work‑life balance, closing all stores at 2 pm. General Manager Development Program We are looking for our next General Manager. If you aim to grow your career, begin as a District Shift Leader (DSL) and complete a targeted development plan that prepares you for GM responsibilities. Day in the Life of a District Shift Leader The DSL performs managerial duties at their home location, supports other bakeries in the market as needed, and travels to learn from other leaders. Shifts may begin as early as 3 am. You will lead by example, train staff, ensure high‑quality food and beverages, and maintain a safe, clean environment. The development plan covers inventory tracking, vendor orders, cash management, P&L analysis, food‑cost and labor target attainment, scheduling, and recruiting. This role offers early‑morning shifts and no work past 3 pm. Benefits Medical, vision, and dental insurance. Paid time off. Minimum 30 hours per week. No evenings or nights; work ends by 3 pm. Can work varied hours/days, including early mornings (starting at 3 am) and weekends. Pass a background check and possess a valid driver’s license. Complete Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification by the end of the development plan unless already certified. Expected to fill in for General Managers at other market locations. Expected to accept a permanent General Manager promotion when available (location not guaranteed). Physical demands may include sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during working hours. These requirements may be accommodated.
