Cornerstone Program Director (Staten Island - South Shore YMCA)

The Staten Island South Shore YMCA is seeking a Program Director who, under the supervision of the Senior Director of Youth & Family, will be responsible for the management of the Carter Center Cornerstone program at 230 Broad Street. The role includes the overall development, administration, supervision, and evaluation of the DYCD Cornerstone Program and focuses on maintaining a quality program while raising additional funds to expand services to meet community needs. Key Responsibilities Fiscal, government contract, foundation, and corporate grant management. Assist with grant writing as needed. Meet or exceed all contract requirements. Plan and create new and innovative Youth & Family programs that meet the needs of the community, in keeping with branch priority objectives and the strategic plan. Work collaboratively with the branch staff to develop new programs. Recruit, select, develop, train, and supervise staff. Develop and grow community partnerships and create and track a resource referral system for youth and families. Represent the branch at necessary program cabinets (e.g., Y‑Afterschool, Teen). Maintain and continue to improve the quality of all Youth & Family programs. Become a certified trainer in at least one youth area and lead training events. Desired Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work or related field required. One (1) to two (2) years of experience supervising community‑based youth programs and developing programs. Knowledge of development and administration of youth programs, supervision, contract management, and grant writing.
