Greystones Group is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support and maintain technology infrastructure, systems, networks, and emerging technologies in a Department of Defense environment. The ideal candidate will have strong systems administration experience with knowledge of AI/ML, Navy systems, and OEM technologies.

This role requires a resourceful, technically skilled professional who can troubleshoot complex issues, work independently, communicate across technical and non-technical teams, and serve as a liaison between users, government customers, technical teams, and technology vendors. The successful candidate will help ensure systems operate securely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer and mission requirements.

 

Remote- must be located in the San Diego, CA area

Salary: $100,000 ? $110,000

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and support backup and disaster recovery.
• Maintain security controls in line with DoD cybersecurity requirements, and keep system documentation and Product SOPs current.
• Deploy, integrate, and sustain AI/ML applications and the computing environments that support them.
• Troubleshoot AI/ML integration issues and stay current on AI technologies relevant to DoD missions.
• Serve as the technical liaison between Greystones, Navy and DoD customers, internal teams, and OEMs.
• Support integration and sustainment of Navy systems, and translate technical requirements into practical solutions.
• Maintain working knowledge of OEM products, platforms, and roadmaps relevant to assigned programs.
• Coordinate with OEM representatives on troubleshooting, upgrades, product evaluations, and demonstrations.
• Share customer technology needs with leadership and contribute technical input to proposals as requested.

 

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of Experience as a system, network, or IT administrator or systems engineer
• Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent military experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience supporting DoD customers
• Experience working with OEMs, technology vendors, or government technical representatives
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts, platforms, and compute environments
• Active Secret clearance
