Learn more about Parents Anonymous®: Learn more about the CA and National Parent and Youth Helplines: Position Overview: Parents Anonymous® Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and compassionate mental health professional who has either a ASW, AMFT, or APCC with at least 1,000 hours and a valid and active registration with the BBS for the Wellbeing Center in Van Nuys. The Wellbeing Clinician will provide comprehensive mental health services, including assessments and provide individual, family, and group counseling, for diverse parents, children, and youth, ensuring services align with the Parents Anonymous® vision and mission. The role involves facilitating Parents Anonymous® groups, conducting outreach and interviews to engage participants, and supporting the development of Parent Group Leaders. Key responsibilities include triaging occurrences, delivering crisis intervention, completing required documentation, and maintaining productivity standards while fostering therapeutic processes like mutual support, parent leadership, and personal growth. Clinicians will also participate in regular supervision, community networking, and ensure adherence to program protocols to promote family resiliency and well-being. $1,500 - $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS FOR LICENSED CLINICIANS & BILINGUAL LICENSED CLINICIANS Responsibilities: Provide a minimum of 28 CalAim billable hours every work week for eligible participants including individual and family counseling and Weekly Evidence-Based Parents Anonymous® Groups based on completing comprehensive assessments, Building Family Strengths Interviews (BFSI), service plans, and implementing effective outreach and mental health promotion to diverse parents, children, and youth. Attend initial and supplemental training, workshops, engage in observations, and actively participate in weekly clinical supervision to attain Well-Developed Competencies to become a Certified Parents Anonymous® Adult Group Facilitator to ensure research-based outcomes and model fidelity by utilizing the Step by Step and all required Program Materials. Conduct ongoing outreach, participant follow-up, and weekly communications to maintain 10-15 active Parents Anonymous® Group participants each week and support consistent program engagement that are billable services. Document accurate progress notes on all billable services within 24 hours that meet compliance standards including completing all intake forms, service plans, progress notes, reports, pre and post outcome surveys, attendance records (in the Program Tracking System), and other required documentation. Provide crisis intervention in collaboration with the Senior Director of Mental Health Services in accordance with program protocols. Attend and actively participate in weekly clinical supervision, staff meetings, participant reviews, community education activities, and community outreach to support service quality and positive participant outcomes. Facilitate at least 2 Weekly Parents Anonymous® Adult Groups by ensuring the implementation of the four therapeutic processes: promoting mutual support, parent leadership, shared leadership®, and personal growth and change to improve overall mental health and well-being among participants based on model fidelity. Oversee Weekly Parents Anonymous® Children & Youth Group operations and problem solving in coordination with the Parents Anonymous® Adult Groups. Identify, train, guide and support Parents Anonymous® Parent Group Leaders through ongoing guided practice, weekly briefings and debriefings, and leadership development activities to strengthen leadership development, enhance group effectiveness and participant engagement. Utilize Weekly the “I Am a Parents Anonymous® Parent” booklet, the 16 Successful Nurturing & Parenting Strategies, and other approved Parents Anonymous® program materials into services to ensure Model Fidelity. Encourage all Well-Being Program participants to access the California Parent & Youth Helpline 24/7 for Evidence-Based emotional support. Coordinate with the Senior Director of the Well-Being Centers to assign Community Well-Being Specialists to assist Parent, Children & Youth who are receiving mental health services with navigation of community resources and other appropriate services. Perform other duties as deemed necessary to fulfill agency and/or program requirements. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology or Counseling from an accredited graduate school required. Must be fully registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences and have 1000 hours towards licensure. Bilingual in Spanish and English highly preferred and other languages spoken is a plus. Must be able to provide psychotherapy in a second language. Must have a minimum of 1-2 years working in social services with Parents and/or Youth. Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of individual or group counseling. Must have well-developed computer and EHR skills. Requirements: Travel is required within Southern California, with the possibility of traveling 1 - 2 days per week Current Driver’s License Current Vehicle Insurance May require occasional evening or weekend hours. Must provide documentation of being fully vaccinated including at least one booster shot against the COVID-19 virus.
