Assistant Project Manager

Barstow, TX (Relocation Assistance Available) We're hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support a large-scale data center construction project in West Texas with a growing contractor specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and sheet metal systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on project experience and develop into a Project Manager over time. What You'll Do Support Project Managers with daily construction project coordination Assist with project schedules, budgets, documentation, and reporting Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and clients Track material deliveries, equipment procurement, and project milestones Participate in project meetings and document action items Review project drawings, specifications, and construction documents Assist with RFIs, submittals, and change orders Help identify potential project risks, delays, and scheduling impacts Provide administrative and operational support throughout the project lifecycle What We're Looking For Strong interest in construction project management Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment Desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility Willingness to work on-site in West Texas and relocate if needed Preferred Backgrounds Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related degree Construction internships, co-ops, or field experience Exposure to MEP systems, facilities, or construction operations Project coordination, field engineering, logistics, procurement, or scheduling experience Military professionals transitioning into civilian careers Recent graduates seeking a long-term career path in construction management Details Full relocation assistance available Company vehicle and gas card provided Long-term direct hire opportunity with a growing organization #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight Global
