Registered Nurse (RN) - Senior Behavioral Health Unit
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Senior Behavioral Health Unit. This travel position requires a strong background in geriatric psychiatry and acute care hospital settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Senior Behavioral Health Unit.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on health management and therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a behavioral health unit.
- BLS certification is required.
- Experience with de-escalation techniques, such as SAMA or CPI, is required.
- Recent experience in a Senior Behavioral Health setting within an acute care hospital is necessary.
This position operates on a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The assignment duration is for 13 weeks, starting as soon as possible.
