About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience preferred Previous travel experience preferred License: State or Compact license required Certifications: BLS ACLS preferred NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Ortho trauma and total joint replacement experience required Experience with Epic charting system required Description: Seeking a registered nurse with experience in ortho trauma and total joint replacement. The role requires strong clinical skills, particularly in managing patients with orthopedic conditions. Nights involve handling a patient ratio of 1:6. Daily responsibilities will include patient assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Experience with managing ports, CPAP, chest tubes, and wound care is essential. Candidates must also be capable of performing phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and managing various patient care scenarios. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing patient needs. Preferred qualifications include experience in Level II trauma settings and familiarity with various patient management procedures.
