If you're ready to embrace the challenge of working for a fast-growing global company, we have an opportunity for you to grow with RXO.What your day-to-day will look like:Develop understanding of the customer and their logistics needs through customer calls, interaction with sales team, research, correspondence, etc.Help set strategy around mode buying and leveraging; develop key initiatives, best practices, and processes within the teamSupport the growth of new customers and the expansion of existing customersWork with Customer and Account Management teams to create solutions that meet service and cost levelsOnboard carriers that expand service offerings such as international, temperature control, special equipment, etc.Determine carrier rates and KPI's; analyze rates and make decisions on awards while remaining compliant with the overall sourcing strategyPrepare bid package for carriers, including cover letter, customer profile, freight profile, locations, photos, operational considerations, pricing requirements and targets, fuel table, and accessorial target costsRecommend cost-saving strategies that are beneficial to our customers as well as equitable to the carriersAnalyze materials in the context of freight profile, customer's needs, and RXO's marketing strategy to develop pricing approach and type of proposal to be submittedCommunicate end results of negotiations to internal audience for coordination and communication to customerAt a minimum, you'll need:Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience5 years of experience in carrier procurement with an emphasis on carrier rate negotiationsIt'd be great if you also have:In-depth knowledge of carrier operationsProven lane/rate negotiation skillsSolid proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Access)Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to multitaskAbility to interact and communicate well with all internal and external customersDoes this sound like you?
