Fire Suppression Systems Designer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Suppression System Designer to join our growing team. Responsibilities Design wet, dry, pre-action, and clean agent fire suppression systems for complex commercial and mission‑critical facilities Produce accurate 2D construction drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, including layout plans, isometrics, riser diagrams, and hydraulic calculation documentation Ensure all designs comply with NFPA 13, NFPA 12, NFPA 2001, and applicable local codes and standards Collaborate with project managers, engineers, field installers, and other trades to ensure designs are buildable and meet client specifications Coordinate with architects and mechanical/electrical teams during design development Prepare submittal packages, as‑built drawings, and design documentation for AHJ review and approval Communicate design intent clearly to clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders Stay current on code updates, new suppression technologies, and industry best practices Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in fire suppression system design Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and 3D modeling (2+ years required) Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 12, NFPA 2001, and related codes Experience designing for commercial buildings is necessary. Familiarity with hydraulic calculation software (HydraCALC, SprinkCALC, or similar) Knowledge of clean agent suppression systems (FM‑200, Novec 1230, CO2) and pre‑action systems a plus NICET certification a plus Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work full‑time, Monday–Friday, on‑site in Denver, CO Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate: $30–$35/hr Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Why Join Us Our team is built on a commitment to quality and precision in fire protection design.
