You must be willing to obtain a North Carolina real estate license, be 18 years old, and willing to obtain realtor training. Licensing requirements (North Carolina) Successfully complete an approved 79-hour pre-licensing course. Submit an application form, completion certificate and $100 to the N.C. Real Estate Commission. Register for and pass the North Carolina State Licensing Exam. Pay a $64 examination fee directly to PSI Exams. Click here for a list of approved schools in North Carolina. Licensing requirements (South Carolina) Successfully complete an approved 60-hour pre-licensing course. Complete an additional Unit II: Advanced Real Estate Principles course (30 hours).
