Position Summary
The Assembler-Finish is responsible for assembling components and systems used in the production of ambulances and specialty vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow work instructions, and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble parts, subassemblies, and finished components per work instructions
- Install mechanical, electrical, and interior components
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
- Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions
- Inspect work for quality and accuracy; correct defects as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety, quality, and production standards
- Work collaboratively with team members, leads, and quality personnel
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
- Ability to read work instructions and basic drawings
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience
- Ambulance, automotive, RV, or specialty vehicle manufacturing
- Mechanical, electrical, or interior assembly experience
- Experience in a lean or production-based environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Contingencies of Employment
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination
- Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, if applicable to the position
