A Day in the Life — Aerospace Quality Assurance Inspector

Based in Santa Fe Springs, CA , you’ll be the guardian of product integrity from dock to delivery. Your day will move from checking incoming materials to verifying in-process parts and finally signing off on finished goods—always with safety and customer standards at the forefront.

What You’ll Do

• Examine incoming materials, in-process builds, and completed products to confirm they meet defined specifications and regulatory expectations.
• Record findings with precision, maintaining complete inspection reports and quality metrics that inform operational decisions.
• Flag defects and nonconformances ; partner with production to drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Run routine process and procedure audits to ensure adherence to established quality control protocols.
• Collaborate across functions to fuel continuous improvement and strengthen quality system effectiveness.
• Contribute to the creation and rollout of quality policies, procedures, and work instructions .
• Stay current on industry standards and best practices , including AS9100 and AS9102 requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; quality-related certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or comparable inspection role.
• Solid command of quality methodologies and tools .
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
• Comfort working both independently and within cross-functional teams .
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication .
• Hands-on proficiency with measuring and testing equipment .
