Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Cloud Networking

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We have formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of hands-on experience.
• We bring substantial experience in cloud networking architecture and enterprise network design within regulated environments.
• We have deep expertise in routing, switching, BGP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, NAT, proxies, load balancing, and zero-trust principles.
• We have strong practical experience with cloud-native networking services and hybrid connectivity patterns.
• We have a proven background in designing customer solution architectures aligned to security, resilience, and performance goals.
• We have a demonstrated record of managing and remediating technology and cybersecurity risks and findings from audits, assessments, and control testing.
• We have experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar.
• We have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive reporting and technical design reviews.
• We can lead cross-functional teams and influence architecture decisions without direct authority.
• We have demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in infrastructure engineering workflows, with careful validation and sensitivity awareness.
• We can review and verify AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when needed and ensuring outcomes support resiliency, security, and auditability.
• Preferred: We have experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
• Preferred: We hold professional-level cloud, security, and/or networking certifications.
• Preferred: We are familiar with SRE practices, observability, and network performance engineering.

• We lead end-to-end cloud networking architecture for enterprise platforms across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, including segmentation, transit design, DNS, load balancing, connectivity, and egress controls.
• We define and govern reusable network architecture standards, patterns, and reference designs for customer-facing and internal solutions.
• We partner with application, platform, security, and infrastructure teams to design customer solution architectures that meet availability, performance, resiliency, and compliance needs.
• We translate business and customer requirements into secure, production-ready architecture blueprints and implementation plans.
• We own technical risk management for cloud networking and solution architecture, including identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and planning mitigations.
• We drive closure of audit, regulatory, cybersecurity, and control findings by coordinating remediation plans, evidence collection, and stakeholder updates.
• We establish architecture guardrails, policy-as-code controls, and design review processes to improve consistency and reduce operational risk.
• We support major incident response and problem management for network-related outages, including root-cause analysis and prevention planning.
• We mentor engineers and architects, promote engineering excellence, and contribute to roadmap planning and delivery governance.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
• We apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices in delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes remain traceable, auditable, and aligned to resiliency and security expectations.
