Position Full‑time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) Location Nacogdoches Medical Center – 4920 North East Stallings Drive, Nacogdoches, TX 75965. Online applications only. Schedule Full time. Days and hours may vary. Details upon interview. Compensation $13.50 – $14.00 per hour. Requirements No previous experience required. Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English. Basic computer and mathematical skills. Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts. Job Summary Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility and provide services that include helping patients make menu selections, assemble, deliver, and pick up their meal trays. They are part of the caregiving team, responsible for patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate and delivered at the correct time and temperature. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Help patients understand menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions. Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, or other preferences. Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s selection in a timely and accurate manner; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times. Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO, and adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures. Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations; follow infection control policies. Assist dietitians with monitoring patients who cannot eat orally, are on liquid diets, or require specific calorie counts. Communicate problems or concerns with patients and appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
