Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

Location: Hickory, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with various mental health issues in an adult setting. The role requires effective communication and strong teamwork skills as you work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Create and maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certification with Handle with Care (preferred, but training will be provided).
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in behavioral health or mental health nursing preferred.
