Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A 13+ week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to provide specialized pharmacy services in Pocahontas, IA. This role involves working in a specialty pharmacy setting focused on long-term care, ensuring optimal medication management and patient safety.

Schedule/Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Some weekends may be required

Key Responsibilities:

Dispense and manage medications in a specialty pharmacy environment
Perform long-term care pharmacist duties including medication reviews and patient counseling
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize pharmacotherapy outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory standards

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Iowa Pharmacist License or Iowa Temporary License
Immunization Certification is preferred
CPR Certification is a plus
Experience in retail pharmacy and long-term care settings
Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication management
