Dietitian - Dietary Info Specialist (Hybrid!)

Responsibility for data build, support and maintenance of CBORD department software across the healthcare system. Automate processes to improve efficiency and keep up with current healthcare's best practices. Manipulate data into accurate reporting tools to help with workflows and measure various outcomes. Supports interface issues between Hospital Information System and Department software. All work is completed under the immediate supervision of the Clinical Manager.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a major related to food and/or nutrition. *
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a major in dietetics and nutrition, must be in conjunction with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) approved program. This degree requires registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, will accept registry eligible**, and licensed with the State of Indiana or application for licensure within one month of registration, as applicable.
• Two years' experience in dietetics and/or food service operations preferred.
• IT experience preferred.
• Advance degree preferred.
• Requires knowledge of a variety of computer applications.
• Work involves a variety of problems in a general field; some of which are complex. Involves some independent judgment to decide what to do to assemble facts, determine variations from standard procedures, or plan other action to be taken to meet general objectives.
• Employees are shared and travel within the health care system. If applicable, must provide proof of current driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Requires frequent contacts with many persons at different levels inside the hospital and possession of interpersonal and communication skills to carry out hospital policies and programs and obtain willing acceptance, consent or action.
• Interacts with all members of the healthcare team, physicians, and families, in a professional manner on a daily basis.
• Requires general direction, while working from broad policies and on general objectives. Refers specific matters to supervisor when interpretation of hospital/department goals are necessary.

** If applicable, employee may take registration exam three times. If after third attempt the employee fails, they are terminated. Must be registered within one year of hire.
