Fixed Assets Accountant

Job Summary Support fixed asset accounting and general ledger functions within the accounting department. Collaborate with multiple business units for accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities Assist with month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements. Prepare and post journal entries with proper documentation. Analyze, review, and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts such as Receivable, Prepaid, and Accrual accounts. Prepare and post correcting journal entries as needed. Maintain fixed asset ledgers, including recording asset additions and disposals. Reconcile fixed asset ledger to general ledger balances. Ensure compliance with asset capitalization policies and guidelines. Investigate and resolve variances or unusual account activity. Provide documentation and support for audits and internal reporting. Perform additional tasks as needed to support the accounting department. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in fixed asset accounting is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with various business units. Industry Experience Accounting experience in an educational setting is a plus. Other Details No variable compensation, relocation, or sponsorship available.
