Make a meaningful impact by supporting the educational journey of a talented 6th-grade student as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI). This rewarding contract opportunity, located just outside of Atlanta, offers the chance to work closely with a single student in a supportive school environment, focusing on personalized instruction and creating accessible learning experiences.

Key Qualifications:

• Georgia PSC certification with a Vision Impairment/TVI endorsement (active and valid required)
• Experience providing specialized instruction and accommodations for students with visual impairments
• Strong collaboration skills for working with educators and school staff
• Knowledge of assistive technology and strategies for accessibility in classroom settings

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized educational support according to a student's IEP needs, tailored for a 6th-grader with a visual impairment
• Conduct two direct 30-minute instructional sessions per month, ensuring instruction is tailored and impactful
• Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers to promote an inclusive learning environment
• Advise on and help implement appropriate assistive technologies and classroom accommodations
• Keep a close eye on student progress and maintain ongoing communication with the educational team about vision needs
• Ensure full compliance with IEP requirements and assist the school in upholding best practices for accessibility

This part-time assignment runs through the end of May 2026, offering a manageable caseload with the flexibility to balance with other professional or personal commitments. You'll have the chance to shape an individual student's learning experience in a pivotal academic year.
