Veterinary Technician Location: Washington County Veterinary Hospital, Wakefield, Rhode Island We are growing and adding a new doctor and extending our hours. Washington County Veterinary Hospital is a modern facility surrounded by inlets to the ocean, providing clients and patients with exceptional veterinary care. We are looking to add a full‑time experienced veterinary technician to join our team. Responsibilities Properly handling and restraining animals Rooming patients Assisting in surgery and surgical recovery Placing IV catheters Drawing blood and running bloodwork Using x‑ray equipment and proper positioning Operating laboratory equipment Supporting the team as a positive and collaborative member Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Knowledge of animal behavior and healthcare Experience with proper animal handling and restraint Passion for working with animals and their owners Understanding the importance of client education Team player willing to continue learning Excellent communication and organizational skills Compensation & Benefits Salary: Up to $30.00 hourly based upon experience Sign‑on Bonus: Eligibility up to $2,000.00 based on experience and surgical/anesthesia experience Work‑Life Balance: Flexible schedule This position is full‑time.
