Physical Therapist - School Setting in Arcadia, LA

Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Skills:

Valid Physical Therapy (PT) license in the state
Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP goals, and therapy documentation
Skilled in conducting thorough PT evaluations and generating actionable recommendations
Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
Adaptability for traveling between school sites
Self-driven and highly organized with reliable time management

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for students referred across multiple locations
Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that support student IEPs and access to education
Collaborate closely with teachers, related service providers, and special education staff
Provide consultation and educational support to staff and families regarding student needs
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements
Flexibly manage a dynamic caseload and prioritize evaluation requests
