Account ManagerThe Account Manager is responsible for managing Tactical Data Link solution sales to Aerospace Primes and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. You will develop new accounts, maintain and support current accounts, and establish long-term relationships with your accounts and clients.Salary Range: $ 113,700 - 135,000 per yearPlease note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in Massachusetts. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.Location:RemoteYour Challenge:Identify objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales for target accounts; own the sales process from prospecting to closureIncrease revenue and gross margin for a portfolio of Tactical Data Link solutions within your assigned territory through the implementation of strategic and consultative selling methodologiesEstablish a trusted partner relationship with customers at all influence and decision-making levelsDemonstrate an understanding of key business drivers for customersManage accounts and transactions across multiple customer locations and operating organizations within your territoryDemonstrate business acumen through business case preparation, ROI analyses, cost/benefit analyses, and other performance metricsProvide account leadership on development of responses to RFP’s, RFI’s, and unsolicited proposalsDevelop and conduct persuasive sales presentations for assigned accountsReviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount ratesStay abreast of developing and leading-edge solutions, products, and servicesConduct regularly scheduled territory/account reviews with Sales ManagementProvide timely and accurate account status reports, forecasts, and business plans to sales leadership and operational teams as requiredTravel regularly within your territory, establishing a schedule of sales calls to existing and new customersOther duties as assignedYour Expertise:4+ years of progressive sales or account management experience, preferably in the Aerospace & Defense industryProven success in closing complex B2B sales and managing long-cycle opportunitiesProven track record of quota achievement and/or meeting mission requirements is requiredWorking knowledge of Federal contracting processesExceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skillsSound decision-making and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to travel 50% of the timeMust be able to self-motivate, organize workloads, and manage deadlinesProficient in CRM platforms and sales analytics toolsTactical Communications Group (TCG) is a world-class leader in delivering Tactical Data Link (TDL) network solutions that allow military operating and training units, government testing organizations and prime defense contractors to quickly achieve better connectivity and capability at the tactical edge.
