Summary ** : **

In this position, our ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the real estate closing process.

Essential Functions ** : **

• Schedule Real Estate closings with all parties including attorneys and lenders.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a title insurance agency
• Review title for exceptions.
• Review/audit loan documentation to ensure all underwriting conditions have been met.
• Calculate closing figures and circulate to the appropriate parties.
• Prepare closing documents or prepare investors fee invoice.
• Coordinating funding of the loan with accounting and/or Lender.
• Provide information on closing to appropriate parties, as requested.
• Confirm that loans have closed, and funds have been disbursed and noted in the system.

Additional Responsibilities ** : **

• Maintain reports and records as required.
• Work with the closing manager on perfecting special problem loans with errors or missing documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ** : **

• (3) years’ experience with a title company or law firm handling real estate transactions.
• Proficiency in Qualia software but will train.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• General knowledge of VA and FHA essential.
• Must have a proven ability to work successfully under deadlines.
• The ability to use independent judgment and be a multi-tasker is required.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Demands ** : **

Position requires individual to sit mostly at a desk, answering phone with some bending, reaching, walking, and occasional squatting. There is constant handling, grasping, feeling, hearing, and use of a mouse as a repetitive motion. Maximum requirement to lift is no more than 20 lbs.

Hours of Work ** : **

Standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm with regular and predictable attendance.
