About the Role As a Department Supervisor you will support sales and profit goals by executing a plan to deliver the best customer experience in the department and overall store. You will follow legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet expectations of customers and colleagues. A Day in the Life Working at H&M means no two days are the same, but a typical day involves the following responsibilities. Customer Sales & Profit Support the total OMNI customer experience, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines. Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions. Identify commercial opportunities and work with the Department Manager to act on them. Ensure customer service is provided in all store areas and the team promotes and sells products effectively. Promote the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in‑store sustainability initiatives. Maintain correct routines in fitting room, checkout, returns, and exchanges. Handle all admin routines for people and operations correctly. Fashion & Trend Awareness Keep up‑to‑date with fashion trends, brands, competitors, and relevant influencers. Ensure the team provides product and fashion knowledge during customer interactions. Team & Development Share knowledge and skills with the store team. Collaborate with the Visual Merchandiser team. Give and receive feedback to develop and support each other. Communicate regularly to motivate and inspire – daily or weekly meetings. Ensure all procedures, routines, and legal requirements are followed. Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution Secure a clean and tidy sales floor and back‑of‑house areas. Maintain high fashion quality and visual presentation. Keep good stock levels and provide allocation input to the Area team. Ensure the garment cycle – delivery to presentation – follows internal standards and technology. Follow best practice for in‑store OMNI services and tech tools. Maintain price signs and ensure consistent price perception. Update and upkeep BOH areas for all colleagues. Open and close the store daily. Qualifications Emerging leader who enjoys taking responsibility and is ambitious. Effective communicator, supportive, analytical, able to work with numbers and manage statistics. Achievement‑oriented, motivated by performance and competition, and customer‑centric.
