Senior US Tax Consultant (Remote)

An AI-driven US expat tax firm is making its first UK-based US tax hire, appointing a Senior US Tax Consultant to focus specifically on the US tax market in the UK. This is a 100% remote role offering flexible working hours and stock options.

The firm already has an established team of CPAs in the US and Canada and is now expanding its work with US citizens living in the UK.

The firm uses proprietary AI and automation to handle much of the preparation process, so the role focuses on review, technical judgement, and sign-off.

The role

● Review and sign off on US individual tax returns
● Focus on US citizens and green card holders living in the UK
● Review preparation work produced by junior CPAs and AI agents
● Resolve technical issues and ensure the quality of final returns
● Apply the US/UK tax treaty across common cross-border issues

The technical work includes foreign tax credits, UK pensions, PFICs, FBAR, FATCA and Form 5471.

What they're looking for

● 5+ years of US individual tax experience
● Strong US expat and international tax knowledge
● Experience reviewing complex US individual returns
● CPA or EA
