Job Purpose:

The Social Service Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the Social Services Department. The role ensures that the medical, emotional, and social needs of residents are met in accordance with current standards and regulations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage social service programs to ensure compliance with regulations.  

- Stay informed about changes in regulations and recommend policy updates as needed.  

- Assist with discharge planning, social care plans, and resident assessments.  

- Maintain strong relationships with medical professionals and other organizations.  

- Collaborate with other departments to manage social service activities.  

- Oversee personnel, budget, and planning functions within the department.  

- Ensure the protection of resident rights and confidentiality.  

- Handle emergencies and maintain quality control measures.  

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.  

- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.  

- Ability to work collaboratively and provide compassionate care.
