Department: Newport Retail Employment Type: Seasonal - Full Time Location: Newport Reporting To: Rachelle Robinson Compensation: $17.56 / hour Description A Cook at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Retail team supporting efforts to provide excellent dishes to our guests. This position involves preparing and delivering meals to guests professionally and courteously and is ideal for someone adaptable, detail-orientated, and who has a passion for delivering excellent dishes. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation and Cooking Demonstrate detailed expertise in cooking and holding requirements for products offered. Prepare all menu items for service Kitchen Operations Management Support the kitchen team in delivering excellent quality to our guests in a timely manner. Compliance and Safety Adhere to food and beverage safety and sanitation standards at all times. Customer Service and Team Support Maintain a positive and professional approach with team members and customers. Responds promptly and adequately to guest requests or concerns. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position. What you bring to Pacific Seafood Education and Experience Required High school diploma or GED Preferred One or more years of experience in the preparation and cooking of seafood and related products, or a combination of training and experience. Prior formal culinary training Food handler’s card Strong customer service skills Effective communication skill Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
