Ascend Academy in Battle Creek, MI is excited to open its doors in Fall 2026, and we’re looking for dedicated, compassionate individuals to join our founding team as Instructional Aides. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a positive, supportive learning environment from the ground up.
Position Overview
The Instructional Aide will support teachers and staff in delivering high-quality instruction and assisting students with their academic, social, and behavioral development. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and making a meaningful impact in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction and daily activities
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students
- Help reinforce lessons and support student engagement
- Promote positive behavior and a safe learning environment
- Support students with communication, organization, and daily routines
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet student needs
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Associate degree preferred
- Experience working with children is a plus
