Core Responsibilities Patient Care: Provide basic nursing care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene. Monitoring and Recording: Monitor patient symptoms and progress, take vital signs, and accurately record medical histories and care activities. Medication and Treatments: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including injections, and assist with wound care and procedures. Communication: Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide education and support and to gather information about their conditions. Collaboration: Work as part of a healthcare team, supporting Registered Nurses and physicians in implementing and modifying care plans. Key Skills and Qualifications Education & Licensure: Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and pass the NCLEX-PN exam to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN). Technical Proficiency: Be comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong communication, empathy, and compassion to build rapport with patients and their families. Attention to Detail: Maintain accuracy in record-keeping and ensure patients receive the correct medications and treatments at the right time. Critical Thinking: Use judgment and critical thinking skills to address patient needs and utilize resources effectively.
