About the Role
The Company is seeking an Editor-in-Chief to lead its two prominent nonfiction imprints, which are known for their focus on prescriptive narrative non-fiction, self-improvement, health, wellness, spirituality, parenting, business empowerment, and illustrated food and lifestyle books. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting editorial priorities, acquiring and editing titles, and overseeing a diverse editorial team. This pivotal role requires a deep editorial background, an analytical mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of quality. The Editor-in-Chief will also be instrumental in shaping a program that reflects the diversity of audiences and society, and must have a strong commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion. Applicants for the Editor-in-Chief position at the company should have a proven track record in editorial work, with experience in managing a team of editors or creators. A flexible and entrepreneurial mindset, a keen eye for design, and a curiosity for new voices and trends are essential.
