Job DescriptionJob Overview\nMartin Luther Care Center is seeking a ursing Trained Medical Aide (TMA) to support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care and Long Term Care)! This role provides hands on care and support services for our senior age patients at our spacious care center in Bloomington, MN. The Nursing Assistant/Registered/TMA is responsible for providing resident care and services including administration of medication under the direction of the nurse.\n\nThis patient support position includes;\n\n 32 hours per two weeks\n Evening shift\n Every other weekend\n\nResponsibilities\n\n Assists residents with personal cares(ADL’s) based on individual plan of care and kardex:\n Provides AM/PM cares\n Provides full bath/shower\n Provides oral hygiene\n Provides nail care; shaving as appropriate\n Checks hearing aides; cleans eye glasses\n Assures that residents are clean, dry, dressed and groomed appropriately\n Reposition residents\n Performs Restorative Nursing Programs (i.e. ROM, ambulation) as applicable\n Provides adequate nutrition & hydration (distributes meal trays, assists residents as needed, provides nourishment & water between meals as requested)\n Assures individual toileting plan is followed\n Answers call lights promptly\n Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff:\n Receives report at the start of the shift\n Gives report to team leader at the end of the shift & PRN\n Notifies appropriate staff of any changes in a timely & appropriate manner (i.e. incidents, skin integrity, behavior changes, illness)\n Offers pertinent observations & input for documentation and care plan updates\n Uses kardex\n Takes and documents and reports weights\n Documents completed cares in POC\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n Nursing Assistant Course\n Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry\n Completion a standardized medication administration training program for unlicensed personnel in nursing homes which is offered through a Minnesota postsecondary educational institution.
