Introduction Our client is a hospital hiring a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The practice is seeking an experienced veterinarian who enjoys urgent care medicine while benefiting from the support and structure of a full-service hospital environment. Role Description and Responsibilities The Urgent Care Veterinarian will focus on small animal urgent care medicine, managing a wide range of same-day, urgent, and acute care cases. Clinical responsibilities include triage and stabilization, diagnostics, wound management, pain management, client communication during high-acuity visits, and continued case involvement. The hospital also provides opportunities to work with dentistry, advanced soft-tissue surgery, acupuncture, chiropractic care, cold laser therapy, in-house diagnostics, and orthopedic procedures for those with experience or interest. This role is designed for an experienced veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced urgent care setting and values collaboration with technicians and fellow doctors. There is also flexibility to incorporate general practice shifts for veterinarians interested in a hybrid schedule. Practice Details This AAHA-accredited full-service hospital is equipped with multiple exam rooms, treatment areas, surgical and dental suites, digital radiology, dental radiography, an in-house laboratory, and advanced therapy options including laser therapy and chiropractic care. Services offered include wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, surgical procedures, urgent care, and pet chiropractic care. The hospital supports sophisticated medical protocols, advanced imaging, and evidence-based medicine while fostering continuous education and mentorship opportunities for doctors and technicians. The practice is known for its collaborative environment, strong technician-to-DVM ratio, high staff retention, and sustainable scheduling structure with no after-hours emergencies, no weekday on-call responsibilities, and no general practice weekend appointments. Hospital hours are Monday 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Tuesday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Team The hospital currently has 5 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team.
