Quick Facts Location: York, PA (1001 South George Street, York, PA 17403) Start Date: 07/13/2026 End Date: Flexible, based on scheduling needs Shift: 24-hour call (07:00 – 07:00) Hours/Week: Varies (full-time locum coverage split as needed) Employment Type: Contract/Locum License/Certs: PA license preferred, DEA required Experience: Minimum 1 year with new grads accepted Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $3,251.82 Pay Package: Competitive hourly rate paid weekly via direct deposit Benefits include: Comprehensive medical coverage (W-2) Paid sick time per applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements where applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated support team from VHS What You’ll Do Respond to 24-hour on-call emergencies, including trauma and urgent urology cases Perform core procedures such as vasectomy, cystoscopy, prostate procedures, ureteroscopy, and more Manage adult patient population (over 18), with occasional pediatric support for OB-related cases Assist with robotic surgery when required Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs) Support the emergency department during call shifts Document patient encounters in EPIC EMR system Collaborate with support staff including nurses and medical assistants What You Need Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology PA license or IMLC LOQ in hand (PA license preferred for quicker onboarding) DEA certification Minimum 1 year of clinical experience Ability to work 24-hour call shifts as scheduled Strong procedural skills and team collaboration abilities About the Assignment Join a dynamic hospital setting where cutting-edge urology procedures like robotic surgeries and lithotripsy are performed. The facility offers 16 operating rooms at York Hospital and Apple Hill Surgery Center, supporting a variety of urologic interventions.
