Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring ARRT or MRI licensure and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Imaging department performing MRI procedures for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
• 3 day shifts per week on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with variable scheduling possible due to census
• May occasionally perform duties in CT and X-ray departments as needed
• Uses Epic EMR; Paragon training provided if needed
• Subject to a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed

Requirements

• Associate degree or certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program
• ARRT registration or other qualified MRI licensing required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required within 4 months of hire
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Perform MRI procedures including protocol building, patient screening for contraindications, and adherence to ACR and facility safety requirements
• Educate and communicate with patients regarding procedures, address concerns, and ensure patient comfort and safety
• Monitor patients visually and verbally throughout procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment and assist with equipment and inventory monitoring
• Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting required, with potential radiation exposure
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are eligible but considered local and not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this during consideration
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• First-time travelers may be considered
