Traffic Director

El Dorado Disposal , a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a safety-conscious Traffic Director to join our team in Placerville, CA ! This position supports daily operations across the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and associated sites. The employee will work at Buy Back Centers during peak summer months and Traffic Director/Yard Laborer duties during the winter season. This role requires flexibility, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to perform physical work in a fast-paced industrial environment. The schedule will be Saturday - Tuesday 7AM - 5:30PM. Starting pay will be $22.00 per hour . Responsibilities Include:

• Direct vehicle traffic to ensure safe and efficient flow within yard areas.
• Assist customers and drivers identify proper dump locations.
• Perform general yard labor, including site maintenance and cleanup.
• Monitor safety conditions and communicate hazards to supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 2+ years of work experience, preferably in a labor type position.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, lifting, bending, and working outdoors for extended periods.
• Basic communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Dependable attendance and flexibility with scheduling and work assignments.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Willingness to work rotating roles based on seasonal needs.
